An emerald cut diamond is a rectangular step-cut stone featuring truncated corners and parallel facets that create a sophisticated "hall of mirrors" visual effect. Shape and Facets: It has a rectangular silhouette with cropped corners and concentric, stair-like step facets (typically totalling 57 to 58 facets). The Emerald cut is a type of step-cut diamond and is the most popular in that category. The emerald cut's four longer sides have bevelled corners with two, three, or four concentric rows of facets, parallel to the girdle, on the crown and pavilion. This diamond has been certified by GIA.
