Description

A round cut diamond (specifically the round brilliant cut) is a circular gem featuring 57 or 58 facets designed to maximize light reflection, fire, and sparkle. • Key Characteristics • Facets: Features 57 facets (or 58 if it includes a tiny flat facet at the bottom called a culet) arranged across the crown, girdle, and pavilion. • Optical Brilliance: Engineered by Marcel Tolkowsky in 1919 to return more white light and colourful flashes (fire and scintillation) to the eye than any other shape. • Popularity: Accounts for roughly 60% to 75% of all diamond and engagement ring sales worldwide because of its timeless look. • Durability: Circular with no sharp corners (unlike princess or marquise cuts), making it less prone to chipping. • Forgiving on Clarity / Colour: The busy facet pattern effectively hides minor inclusions and masks warmer body colours better than most fancy shapes. • Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically and optically identical to mined diamonds, sharing the exact crystal structure and hardness. They are not diamond simulants. When it comes to sparkle, both lab-grown and mined diamonds are comparable, displaying the full range of quality characteristics. • This lab grown diamond has been certified.
