An emerald cut lab-grown diamond is an elongated rectangular or square stone featuring cropped corners and linear, stair-step facets that create broad, mirror-like flashes of light. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically and optically identical to mined diamonds, sharing the exact crystal structure and hardness. They are not diamond simulants.
